RAF Coningsby

The Tattershall Lakes Country Park is located adjacent to RAF Coningsby. 

Conningsby is a base for the RAF Typhoons & also the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. You are likely to be able to see the jets training, & you will often see the Lancaster, Spitfire, Hurricane & Dakota of the memorial flight. We will never get tired of seeing a low pass of the Lancaster over the park, as everyone just stops what they are doing & looks to the skies!

Our holiday homes are at the quieter end of the park, as we are away from the runways, but you may experience some aircraft noise during your stay.

Night Flying

Periodically the base will undertake night flying during military operations and to train aircrew.

Night flying training usually takes place from Monday to Thursday.

It's an amazing sight & we do have guests who even try to coordinate their stays with the periods of night flying!
